Thank you to everyone who came out last Saturday Nov 8, for our milonga with the Maldito Tango Duo from San Francisco. It was a huge success! The place was filled (70!) and at the end of the night the energy was still so high, we stayed open for an extra hour dancing passionately. We had many local guests and many visitors from UF Tango Club, Jacksonville, Orlando, Daytona, Palm Coast, Miami, and Mexico City. We had many compliments about the great live music and the recorded music and the high level of dance of the dancers! We had many compliments about the excellent improvised performance by local teacher Andrea Hoa Pham and guest partner Hugo Juan-Ramon from Argentina currently living in Washington D.C. Thank you Andrea and Juan!If you were there you may have noticed that we have upped the music system from 250 watts to 550 watts and the acoustics were very nice for a room that size and with that many people in it. Many people commented on the great sound. In December and January we are proud to announce that we will welcome back popular DJ Dubravko Kakarigi who is currently living in Berlin (with Elke) and will be fresh from DJ’ing at the Boselgetosel Tango Marathon in Meissen, Germany http://www.boselgetosel.de/home/home.html
located in a charming wine vineyard just north of Dresden.
Dubravko plays traditional and modern tango, as well as unusual pieces with “Tango, Vals and Milonga feel”, which he always adapts to the mood on the dance floor. His music is simply inspiring.
